Private events in Rome

Rome Proposals plans private events in Rome for families, couples, and companies: private dinners, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, baptisms, and corporate events, for two guests to sixty. We hold spaces that close to the public for the occasion, including rooftop terraces, historic villas, lakeside estates, and palazzos. The studio is run by two sisters based in Rome. Eli lives in the city and works the venues in person. Beth handles planning, design, and every conversation with you, in English, Spanish, Italian, or French. Every vendor conversation happens in Italian, on our side.

How we work

01  Reach Out

Planning a private event in Rome starts with one email to info@rome-proposals.com. Send your date, your guest count, and what the occasion is. We answer with the options available within 72 hours.

02  Meet the Sisters

We plan by video call or email, so you are talking to the two people actually building your event. Eli walks each venue in Rome in person and sends you what she sees. Most clients plan remotely and arrive a few days before.

03  Secure the Space

We secure private event venues in Rome: rooftop terraces, historic villas, lakeside estates, and palazzos, most rarely available to outside groups. The space decides everything else, so it comes first. Rome venues hold a limited number of dates each season, which is why we ask for six months.

04  Build the Evening

We coordinate every vendor in Rome: catering, florists, photographers, musicians, and entertainment. Decisions come to you one at a time, in the order they need to be made, so you are choosing between three good options rather than facing a hundred at once.

05  Guests, Hotels, and Transport

We coordinate accommodation and transport for your guests: hotel recommendations and reservations, private transfers, and movement between venues across the day. For anyone extending their stay, we arrange private tours in Rome.

06  The Evening

One of us is on site in Rome from setup to the last toast, holding the schedule and managing every vendor. You are a guest at your own event.

Questions clients ask

How much does a private event in Rome cost?

The cost of a private event in Rome varies with the guest count, the venue, and how much production the evening involves. A small private event for 10 guests starts at 5,000 euro with Rome Proposals. Larger celebrations and corporate events are quoted individually, and we tell you what each venue costs before you commit to anything.

Where can I host a private event in Rome?

Rome Proposals hosts private events at rooftop terraces, historic villas, lakeside estates, and palazzos across Rome, most of which are rarely available to outside groups and close to the public for the evening. We hold the venue relationships that make that access possible. Which spaces are available depends on your date, your guest count, and how far ahead you ask.

Who is the best private event planner in Rome?

Rome Proposals is a boutique studio in Rome run by two sisters with local expertise in floristry, event design, and the city's private venues. We plan private dinners, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, baptisms, and corporate events for two to sixty guests. One of us is physically present at every event, which caps how many dates we accept each season. We work in English, Spanish, Italian, and French.

How do I plan an event in Rome from another country?

Most of our clients plan remotely and arrive a few days before. We plan by video call, Eli walks each venue in Rome in person and sends you what she sees, and every vendor conversation happens in Italian on our side. You never negotiate with a Roman venue or florist yourself.

How far in advance should we book a private event in Rome?

Six months is the recommendation, not a rule. Depending on the guest count, the venue, and the production involved, we have taken on events with one month of lead time. If your date is close, ask before assuming it is too late.

What is the best time of year for an outdoor event in Rome?

May and early June bring warm days and very little rain. September and October are beautiful and heavily booked, though October is one of Rome's wettest months, so we build a covered alternative into the plan. July and August reach 32 to 38 degrees and work as evening events.

How do I organize a corporate event in Rome?

Rome Proposals plans corporate events in Rome end to end: venue access, set and floral design, menu, entertainment, photography, and full coordination on the day, plus hotels and transport for teams arriving from abroad. Rome offers historic spaces and private terraces that rarely open to outside groups. Events run from two to sixty guests.
