Micro-Weddings and Elopements in Rome
Rome Proposals plans micro-weddings and elopements in Rome for couples marrying with a small guest list, from two people to sixty. We arrange both legally binding civil ceremonies and symbolic ceremonies, at private villas, gardens, rooftop terraces, and lakeside estates across the city.
A micro-wedding in Rome with us starts at 6,669 euro for 10 guests and includes the venue, dinner, photography, floral design, and full vendor coordination. We ask for six months of lead time, because Rome venues hold a limited number of dates each season. We are two sisters based in Rome, and we work in English, Spanish, Italian, and French.
How we work

01
Reach Out
Planning a micro-wedding in Rome starts with one email to info@rome-proposals.com. Send your dates, your guest count, and how you imagine the day. We answer with the venues available that week, what each one costs, and what the day would look like in each. You leave the first conversation knowing what is possible, not just waiting on a quote.
02
Meet the Sisters
Rome Proposals is run by two sisters based in Rome. Eli lives in the city and walks every venue in person. Beth handles planning, design, and every conversation with you, in English, Spanish, Italian, or French. We plan by video call, so you are talking to the two people actually building your wedding, not an account manager. Most couples plan their entire wedding in Rome remotely and arrive a few days before.

03
Secure the Venue
We secure private wedding venues in Rome: villas, gardens, rooftop terraces, and lakeside estates, most rarely available to outside groups. The venue decides everything else, so it comes first. You see real options with real prices and availability for your dates. Rome venues hold a limited number of dates each season, which is why we ask for six months of lead time.
04
Build the Day
We coordinate every vendor for your wedding in Rome: florists, photographers, musicians, officiants, and the kitchen. Decisions come to you one at a time, in the order they need to be made, so you are choosing between three good options rather than facing a hundred at once. Every vendor conversation happens in Italian, on our side.

05
The Week Before and The Day
One week before your wedding in Rome, you receive a minute-by-minute plan: every vendor, every arrival time, every phone number. You know exactly how the day runs before it starts.
On the day, one of us is on site in Rome from setup to the last toast, holding the schedule and managing every vendor. You are a guest at your own wedding.
Questions couples ask
-
Can we plan a wedding in Rome without traveling there first?
Yes. Most of our couples plan remotely and arrive a few days before the wedding. Eli walks each venue in person and sends you video, not a brochure. We handle the site visits so you do not have to make two trips.
-
How involved do we have to be?
As involved as you want. We bring you decisions one at a time, in the order they need to be made, with two or three options we already know work for your venue and your date. Couples who want to choose every detail can. Couples who want to choose five things and see the rest on the day can do that too.
-
What if it rains on our wedding day in Rome?
Every outdoor plan includes a covered alternative confirmed in advance. October is one of Rome's wettest months and also one of the most requested, so we build the alternative into the plan from the start rather than deciding on the day.
-
Can our guests be flown in and looked after?
Yes. We coordinate hotels, private transfers, and movement between venues for your guests, and arrange private tours in Rome for anyone extending their stay.
-
How many weddings do you take at once?
Few. We are two people and one of us is physically present at every wedding, which caps how many dates we accept each season. If your date is available, it is genuinely available.
-
What does a micro-wedding in Rome include?
Our starting package covers 25 guests: a venue with a view to the water, aperitivo and seated dinner, photography, one hotel night for the couple, a violinist during the ceremony, a silk-flower ceremony backdrop, and table arrangements. Every element can be adjusted, and larger weddings are quoted individually.
